The Orthodox Institute

Help us launch the Institute by joining the "200 for 200" Campaign!

For a mere 54¢ a day, you can help make Orthodox higher education a reality at Eastern University. The Insititue for  Orthodox Christian Thought and Culture has proposed to create an intellectual and spiritual home for Orthodox students in which a community will be built around the Life of the Church and the Life of the Mind. Some particular features will include: a minor in Orthodox Thought and Culture, rigorous courses which have the great books as their foundation and are taught by Orthodox faculty, Orthodox worship lead by local clergy, etc.

Now, we need your help to make this dream a reality. A fully accredited program for Orthodox college students is a unique opportunity for the Church and Her young people; but it comes with a cost. To help us launch this Institute we have initiated the "200 for 200" campaign, seeking 200 visionary donors who will give $200 during this startup phase. (Or 40 for $800, etc.) Please consider joining us, and please spread the word about this initiative. With your gift and God's help we can lay the groundwork needed to get the Institute fully up and running by the end of this calendar year, in time to receive applications from students for Fall 2015. Any gift is greatly welcomed and will be put to use directly for the Institute.
