Rick & Candy Ladd House Fire
Donation protected
Rick and Candy Ladd lost everything they owned on 9/3/2014 in a major house fire. They lived in this house for the past 10 years expanding it from its original 1100 sq feet to 2300 sq feet, recently taking in Rick's Mom as well.
Rick is a retired Army Veteran who was injured during Active Duty. He took on the job of long haul trucker to provide for his family. And he was over 2000 miles away from home when the fire broke out. Thankfully Candy was able to get home in time to rescue their 2 dogs.
Rick's Mom, a breast cancer survivior, lost all her belongings too. She had recently sold her own home & vehicle to pay for medical expenses and moved in with Rick & Candy for economic reasons. As well for transportation to Doctors & treatments.
This fundraiser is to help them get back on their feet. They are currently staying at a local motel with their dogs being boarded temporarily by their local vet.
They lost their home, all their clothes, food, military memoribilia, Mom's cancer medicine, memories...well just about everything you can list.
Anything that you can do to help them would be greatly appreciated. If you would rather donate gift cards for food or clothes, please contact me for their address.
