Shooting Victim Needs YOUR Help!

Donation protected
On October 31, 2013 Irma Vaca was attacked outside the apartment complex where she lives in Hayward, CA. She was shot multiple times on her arm, neck and face underneath her right eye. Police, EMT and KTVU News and NBC arrived at the scene but it wasn't until the following morning that her family was informed and learned that she was in critical condition. Irma was rushed to the hospital, underwent surgery all night and remained in a medically induced coma for the next month. When she finally woke up she was paralyzed from her left side, was being fed through a tube, lost her hearing and eyesight on her right side and is now in a wheelchair. It's been a long process but she's finally eating on her own, attending physical therapy and learning how to live with her disabilities. She can no longer work and is completely dependent on her mother and siblings to care for her and her children. With limited income Irma and her family are in need of funds for a bigger vehicle to better accommodate her and her wheelchair to get her to medical appointments. Any donation is greatly appreciated as well as the sharing of this page. Thank you.
