Dylan Kirkley is a 4 and half year old little boy who was born with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. As a result, Dylan has significant mobility problems and cannot walk unaided.
Dylan has lots of new friends in the street where he lives who are of a similar age. They love to run around and play out on their bikes and scooters but Dylan is unable to keep up with them. He adores them and why should he be any different?
This is why Dylan and his friends are raising money : they want to fund:
- a suitably adapted trike for Dylan so he can join in when they ride around
- a more lightweight, maneuverable wheelchair to help promote his independence
However, this equipment doesn't come cheap - around £3,000 in total - and this is why we need your help.
Dylan would absolutely love his new freedom and would feel like one of the gang if he could race around with them on a bike or wheelchair which was right for him.
