The Ukraine Project is to help the Ukrainian civilians that are caught in the middle of the fighting and who have fled their homes and now seek refuge at a Christian center called “The City of Peace”. All donations will go toward The Ukraine Project to provide blankets, beds and safe water for these refugees especially for the deadly winter that is soon to come.
The City of Peace was created by a pastor in Ukraine who will remain nameless for his safety, as many pastors are being severely persecuted and executed. At the beginning of August, a family contacted this pastor seeking refuge from the brutal fighting currently in Donieck. As more people were fleeing their homes in Donieck and didn’t know where to go, this pastor opened up his home to more families. He eventually received an old youth campground with buildings to shelter these people. Just within a couple of weeks, the number has exponentially reached up to about 150 people including 50 children of whom many have been wounded and scarred physically, emotionally and psychologically.
One young boy who was brought to the City of Peace witnessed a bomb explode in his front yard and kill his father, severely wound his mother and himself. The shrapnel from the bomb destroyed part of his liver. His mother and him were transported to the hospital and afterwards brought to the City of Peace.
How you can help: As more people are flooding to seek refuge at the City of Peace, the Center is in dire need of help. Since Ukraine is overseas and supplies are expensive to ship over, we are currently asking only for monetary donations. We have a team in Poland that is ready to receive these donations through our organization and provide these refugees with supplies and products. The most current needs that will be provided for them are sanitary, hygiene baby, products, clothes (any and especially warm for the upcoming harsh winter), shoes, blankets, canned food and instant powder soup, some medicine (more particularly penicillin, aspirin and Band-Aids). You can also help by spreading the word around about “The Ukraine Project”. Also please pray for God’s protection and provision not only to The City of Peace but the entire nation of Ukraine.
