Kayla’s Story

I met my future husband when I was in the 2nd grade.

He asked me to marry him on 01/09/2013 at 5 o’clock in the morning.  He woke me up from a dead sleep because he couldn’t wait any longer.  Of course I said yes as I want to spend the rest of my life with this man – the man I refer to as the love of my life.

 Josh’s Story

I met my future wife when I was in the 2nd grade.

I bought her an engagement ring when we were on vacation in San Francisco.  When we got back home I asked her father for his blessing.  I planned to wait until after work the next day but I couldn’t wait any longer.

 Our Story

We started planning our wedding in the spring of 2014 when Kayla attended her first Bridal Show; so many vendors, so much to see and so many decisions to make.  We selected a company that advertised “one stop shopping” as they provide the photographer, videographer, DJ, special lighting and a photo booth.  We visited them in their office and signed a contract.  After saving our money, in February, 2015 we paid $5,500, received a receipt and was told they would be in touch a month before the event, which is September 12, 2015.

Fast forward to July 22, 2015 when our world came crashing down.  A story was mentioned in the news about a company that was scamming unsuspecting people out of thousands of dollars.  Upon more research, we discovered THIS company was THE company we had paid $5,500 to provide these services at our wedding.  Attached is the actual article that was posted on-line.  The man in the picture is the man who took our check for $5,500 knowing he had no intention of fulfilling his obligation.

Our hearts are broken.  It took us a long time to save up the money to pay for our wedding and now, just like that, less than 2 months before the event, we are back at square one. We are reaching out to family and friends hoping that you would find it in your hearts to help us by donating whatever you can afford so we can have the dream wedding we already paid for.  Thank you so much!
