Save Puppy Sophie from Parvo
Update from Sophie's new Momma - Picking up Sophie as she's going home! Eating & happy. She was so excited to see me! They all loved her here...easy to do! Dr says we should not see a relapse & she can't reinfect herself.

Sophie was adopted Friday from a shelter, a pup as sweet as can be, and for one day it seemed like happy beginnings with the best of loving homes. Then, this morning she broke with parvo.
Her new mom, my little sister, is devastated. It took my Sis a long time to commit to being a dog-mom again since losing her last best friend. And then, in 24 hours, her joy has been turned upside down.
The shelter people are not available and apparently have no emergency number, leaving my Sis to try and make decisions about puppy Sophie's care basically on her own, not to mention the cost of ER care ($1000 per 24 hours I'm told). Sophie's just a little girl who came to the shelter as a stray. She thought she was finally safe. Now she's fighting for her life.
It takes a villiage, my friends. Let's show what we can do to ensure Sophie gets the critical supportive care she needs before its too late to save her young life.
We've seeded this fund with $100 (that's in addition to the total shown here). All funds donated will be used only for veterinary care to treat Parvo and its complications. Any excess funding will be donated to a recognized rescue program that does good work and acts responsibly towards the dogs in its care.
