A Lady Needs a Hand UP

B is *this close* to escaping an abusive situation for good, *this close* to giving herself and her daughter a home that is not shadowed by fear and anxiety and hopelessness.  THIS CLOSE. 

She has come so far, farther than most of us ever could if we were doing it for ourselves alone. 

But she's not doing it for herself alone---she's doing it for herself, and for her daughter.

And she's not doing it BY herself.

B has an apartment for her and her daughter to live in, she has a job, she has a chance to escape abuse.  She has done this in the face of incredible odds.  But she will not reap the rewards of her tremendous efforts--monetarily, anyway--for another few weeks.

The rent won't wait another few weeks.  The rent must be paid NOW.

And it's not a lot.  Split between ten, thirty, fifty people---it is literally peanuts, less than the price of a snack at the movie theater.

Let's do this.  If not for B, for her daughter---to show her that nobody has to endure physical and emotional abuse for a lifetime just because $500 couldn't be scraped together in a week.

If she can muster the strength to leave, we can pitch in pocket change to make it work.
