I am a senior high school student at a design magnet school in Miami, one of the best schools in the U.S., I study fashion design and I am looking to pursue a degree, and further more, a career in the fashion industry.
I am a Brazilian and Italian citizen so the college application process is very complicated for me; I am legally in the U.S. but do not have a green card yet, so there are legal obstacles in regards to how much money schools are allowed to give me. I got accepted to all schools I applied to but the scholarships they offered me are still not enough for me to attend.
In my school I hold the positions of Ambassador of my school, CEO and President of the Fashion Club, and Co-President of National Art Honor Society. I have won many awards in my field (only double finalist in the YoungArts Foundation for both Design and Visual arts, and three gold medals in the Scholastics Art and Writing Award)
My dream is to attend Central Saint Martins in London (where I was accepted with honors) to study Foundation in Textiles, Fashion and Styling and after Womenswear Honors. St. Martins is the no.1 school in the world for fashion design and they have produced names such as Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Stella McCartney just to name a few! I have been dreaming of studying at St. Martins from the second I learned about it four years ago, and ever since I have dedicated myself to that goal. But now that my part is complete and we have to start putting the plan in action certain things have happened that made it impossible for my family to finance my studies abroad.
That is why I am here, I need help financing my studies and I am looking for any type of support to help me fulfill my dream! If you or anyone you know can, in any way, contribute; please don't hesitate, anything can and will make a difference in my situation. If not, I absolutely understand and I would like to thank you for your time, just having you know about my story is enough of a support to me.
