Track Chair for Kyle R.

Donation protected

Help us to help others! Master Dog Trainer needs to be able to go afield to train dogs and handlers. Help us get Kyle off the edge of the pavement with a track chair.
Kyle looks on as an agitator suits up for a handler protection certification in 2013.

Kyle donates a lot of time training dogs and handlers. He trains cadaver dogs and their handlers. The cadaver dog teams he has trained have been very successful in giving closure to families. He trains tracking dogs and their handlers. The tracking dog teams have been successful in finding the lost, be it a child, an adult or an elderly person with alzheimers. He trains service dogs for disabled people who otherwise would not be able to be as independent as they are. Kyle trains dogs and handlers for law enforcement and military. Not all of Kyle's training time is donated, but the largest portion is donated time and knowledge.

We would like your help in raising money for an Action Track Chair so Kyle can go afield for evaluating and training dog teams for cadaver and tracking dogs for search and rescue teams, law enforcement dogs and service dogs for wounded Veterans and injured peace officers and fire personnel, and much more. Your help is appreciated.

On July 4, 2010, Lt. Kyle Rosentreter and his tracking dog, Sugarfoot, were hit, head-on, by an oncoming vehicle with faulty equipment. They were enroute to a search and rescue effort to find lost hikers in a beetle-kill area during storms and reports of tornados touching down. Sugarfoot died due to injuries sustained in the crash. Kyle is an incomplete quadriplegic.

Kyle was a K9 handler, trainer and evaluator for K9 teams for over 20 years. Out of the hundreds of dogs he trained, many were rescued from shelters. Kyle has always loved finding jobs for dogs.

This is Kyle with Sugarfoot in June of 2010 after re-certifying for advanced tracking at the Search and Rescue K9 Academy. Sugarfoot was taken from us long before her time. She died from injuries received in the wreck on July 4, 2010.

Lt. Rosentreter with his K9, Lobo. Lobo was a handler protection, narcotics, evidence and tracking dog for seven years. This picture was taken shortly before the accident.
