Jamie's Emotional Support Animal

Donation protected
"Hi, My name is Jamie. I am a single mother, college student, and three-time cancer survivor”.

“My children and I are asking for your support”.

“The Ackerman Institute has prescribed an emotional support animal to provide our family with much needed support during this healing time”.

An emotional support animal is, in this case, a dog with a temperament and breed specifically selected to meet the family’s complex medical needs and sensitivities.

The children have already named the puppy “Magic”, and are waiting to be able to bring her home.  because “she will be the one to bring magic to our home”

In recovery from PTSD and divorce-related trauma, the family has just learned that Jamie’s tumor has returned for the fourth time.

With the looming surgery and treatment, serious healing is critical. The family needs two thousand dollars for Magic.

Can you help bring Magic to their home?

With the complexity of the family’s needs, a non-anxious pet should be purchased from a specific breeder with dogs raised in a non-traumatic and no-abuse environment. Such specializations cannot be found in a shelter.

These animals do not need any specific task-training because their very presence mitigates the symptoms associated with a person's psychological/emotional disability, unlike a working service dog.
