Help Honor Roscoe the K-9 dog

Hi, my name is Kristen Sondej. I am a mother of 4 girls who are now grown, so I finally have the time to put this children’s book that I've been working on for a few years together. I started to write this book, Roscoe the K-9 Cop, after our beloved Germen Shepherd Roscoe passed in 2003. I wanted to share our story with children all over the world and inform them on the work that Roscoe did. Roscoe wasn't your typical German Shepherd. Roscoe was a police dog who worked with my husband and his department. He was trained in patrol & narcotics. Roscoe would go on search and rescue missions along with tracking suspects. He was also involved in SWAT trainings and missions. Roscoe worked as a K-9 dog for about 6 years. From the day that my husband was given Roscoe, he never left his side. Roscoe and my husband were inseparable. Roscoe lived with our family at our home from the moment he was given to my husband. When my husband would go to work, Roscoe would go with him too. He absolutely loved going to work. As soon as Roscoe would see my husband getting ready for work, he would get excited. Roscoe wanted to please his partner to an endless extent. He enjoyed playing with the andarticle, which is a rolled up towel. That was his favorite thing to play with. After 6 long years of working, Roscoe retired as a K-9 dog. Shortly after he retired, he was diagnosed with spinal myelopathy. The spinal myelopathy took a toll on Roscoe’s health. He couldn’t stand on his rear legs, so this made him unable to walk on his own. Despite our best medical efforts, he passed away a few years later. Please help me get Roscoe’s story out there to children and adults. I really would appreciate donations of any amount. It’s the least that I can do to honor his service that he provided New Jersey with.
