191 X-Cats Championship Fundraiser

Since 1992 the XCATS have been successfully mentoring RCSD students as part of the FIRST Robotics challenge.  In a school district that struggles to graduate more than 45% of students in four years, XCats  graduate virtually 100% of their students, who go on to attend local colleges as well as some of the most prestigious schools in the country.

XCats is a 100% volunteer effort, so every cent of your dollars go to support the team. Your generosity will allow us to continue inspiring our youth so they can lead a better tomorrow for all of us.

What do we do? Each year our students work with volunteer teachers, engineers and industry professionals to design a robot that will compete in a fun and action packed challenge. At the end of the six week build season, the robot is packed away and taken to one of several competitions around the world to compete with and against other FIRST robots.

The X-Cats are one of the original teams in FIRST and a member of its Hall of Fame. They are the only team to win FIRST’s most prestigious award,the Chairman’s award, twice.  Please help us attend the Championships, in St. Louis, so our kids can see first hand the importance of what they have accomplished and meet like-minded students from around the world.
