Angel's blessing Jacob

For those of you that don't knw Jacobs story. On Sep 19, 2009 he was found on the bottom of my grandparents deep end of the swimming pool by my brothers an sister's along with Jacob's brothers when he was 2 yrs an 10 months. Lifeless blue an no pulse it took deputy Mort from industry sheriff's station along with his fellow deputies 15 min before getting a pulse. This Deputy was determined not to give up on Jacob regardless of his fellow deputies telling him to call time of death. As soon as he got a pulse deputy Mort carried him an rushed him to ER. When i had a chance to thank him for not giving up on my baby he then told me " I was only doing what I would want done for my grandson". I feel strongly that the Lord placed this officer there that day. When we were transferred to Miller Children's Hospital in long beach after a week of monitoring an testing him we were told that Jacob went 30 min with lack of oxygen to his brain from time pulled from water to the time he was given medicated oxygen, that now he was brain dead an would not make it, if he happened to make it he would not be breathing on his own or aware of his surroundings as well as not know the difference between myself being his momma or a random person either way he wouldn't be aware of anything. I have been told by many doctors an RN nurses we have told his story to that Jacob is truly a miracle because he should not be here today an they can't believe he's not brain dead. I sat there in the room listening to what the doctor's had to say when all I heard was God say " GIVE ME TIME I'LL FIX HIM". Although it's been oh most 5 yrs since his accident he still can not talk nor eat by mouth nor hold his own weight, is total dependent on us for his daily needs I can say my baby is breathing on his own knows his momma from his nurses from his grandmother an anyone else, is very much aware. Oh most after 1 yr of his accident I was advised about a treatment by different families I meet in the hospital as well as had 2 doctors that felt that a treatment called "Hyperbaric oxygen treatment" would benefit him as its known to help restore damage brain cells. Having doctors input an letters recommending this treatment still wouldn't help because Jacob's insurance will not cover this treatment, so that leaves us paying the full cost of treatment out of pocket at 40 session's of treatment at $4100. We have researched this treatment an read testimonials on families that have actually paid for this treatment for their loved one with the same condition as Jacob's an the improvements are remarkable. Since Jacobs accident we have seen some improvements but very little an has taken oh most 5 yrs to see the little improvement we have. Not only is this treatment great for brain cells but it helps in other areas like in muscle spasticity, scoliosis, seizures, heals wounds, infections an the list goes on. So regardless it's a win win treatment for Jacob because he has all of the above an not to mention he will be having a 7 hr hip, back surgery oct 2 an this treatment will heal him 75% faster. So with that said as Jacob's parents we will do what we have to do to make this treatment possible for him an have decided to do a fundraiser for him, any amount of $ donated to this cause will be helpful an we are very greatful for an I mean any amount.
