My name is Lawrence Chan, I am a semi-retired day trader who specialized in day trading Emini S&P and forex majors. I am well published in many trading magazines and major financial websites. I founded DayTradingBias.com 6 years ago with the goal to educate people around the world about trading & day trading so that they can profit from the financial markets by making better and informed decisions.
I make my research on price behaviours available for free to beginner traders and investors from my website. Membership is free and members can discuss openly on trading techniques and exchange trading ideas.
For those interested in day trading the Emini S&P and forex majors, I have created specialized real-time trading tools & daily reports to assist the traders in making better trading decisions. I have kept the subscription fees to this service very low so that it is affordable for the beginner traders while they learn to trade properly.
I could have charge many times more for the premium services and turn a handsome profit from what I offer. But that is not what I want. I like to help the retail traders because I think they are put in a disadvantage position by the financial industry for which my assistance can significantly improve their odds in developing a successful trading career.
I have been paying for the cost of running and developing the website with a percentage of my trading profits. It is my way to contribute to the trading community. As one small idea turns into a big one, so is the cost of the operation. I have used many creative ways including selling ebooks and obtaining advertising revenues. The limited cashflow cannot cover the cost of hiring programmers and backbone services like real-time financial data.
Like Wikipedia, my grand vision of an independent trading research and analysis service built for traders cannot be achieved by myself alone. It takes a team of dedicated staff to make it work. The non-profit driven ideals have to face the reality of real operating costs.
By asking for your donations, I will be able to redirect my contribution to the website to hire research assistance, reduce the ebook prices and having more useful content created for all traders and investors.
The donation goal is set to cover the rest of the operating cost for year 2015. I believe that with my continuing effort to improve the site, the growth will eventually allowing the site to self sustain.
