I wanted to provide an update. First of all, thank you so very much to each and every one of you that have donated and/or shared the donation page and story. Your contribution, kindness, and generosity means so very much to us!
As far as an update on our veteran, WWP has reached out and offered assistance. They are coordinating the effort to get our veterans benefits back, along with help on his prosthetic issues. They have already made some progress so far! We are currently in the process of getting his move coordinated and a new place to live.
Again, thank you all so very much from the bottom of our hearts for your support! Our little neighborhood in Texas has been absolutely amazed by all of you and your willingness to help our wounded warrior!
A wounded warrior in my neighborhood was evicted from his home. Due to unfortunate circumstances, his home was foreclosed on late last year. The new owners hired a property management company who found out he was a veteran. Although it is extremely rare for the owner to stay in the home, this property management company was able to have the veteran remain in the home for almost another YEAR. Unfortunately, since he was unable to pay his rent in a timely manner, he was evicted from the home. The property management company went above and beyond and did everything in their power to keep him in the home, but unfortunately were unable to. Being veteran owned, they went far above and beyond the normal scope of helping someone to try to keep him in the home. He is going to move back home to be with his family, but we are trying to raise money to help him get his stuff moved there through a moving company. Absolutely ANY amount helps! Please donate even if it's only $1! Thank you so much!
