Hosking Farm Recovery Fund

On Monday, August 18, our family suffered a devastating loss. Our father Mike Hosking's farm, which has been in our family since the 1950's, caught fire and much of the structure was destroyed. Thankfully, no people or animals were injured in the fire. It certainly could have been much, much worse and we are grateful that it wasn't.

The barn structure was insured, but that insurance will not replace the income that our family derived from the farm - the fire means that my father's income has effectively stopped. We're hoping that this fund will be able to help our parents with expenses - expected and unexpected, large and small - in the coming months.
We'd like to extend our gratitude to the numerous fire companies that fought to contain the fire, and to friends and neighbors and other farmers who offered time, equipment, and labor to securing the site and making sure that all of the animals were moved to safe locations.
Our parents - Mike and Kathy Hosking - would never ask for your help - that's just how they are. So, we are asking on their behalf. Any amount would go a long way to getting them back on their feet, and help them rebuild if that's what they decide to do. So much is uncertain at this time.
