Baby Rosa's Heartfelt Mission
Spende geschützt
The story following this was the original reason this account was set up since then we have lost the battle with insurance and must settle for the new surgeon in our state. Rosa is scheduled for December 12th to have her surgery that is very very risky for her. I have been off work since October 15th due to Rosa becoming I'll and hospitalized and sent home on monitors and oxygen awaiting surgery. Thank you again for all your support and prayers. God bless you all.
Baby Rosa was born on June 27th 2010 with three different heart defects that are rarely seen together in the same patient. This came as a surprise as this was not detected in the ultrasound. She was diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome when she was a newborn. She has already had two open heart surgeries, one when she was five days old, and the other when she was eight months old. Both times she suffered from infections and the second time she also had RSV that complicated her health even more. We were told several times that she might not pull through but she is a fighter and continues to be a strong fighter. We were told she may not talk, walk, or eat by mouth. But Baby Rosa has proved them wrong. She talks, walks, and eats by mouth. We are now planing for her third open heart surgery and have found that her surgeon has moved from the Children's Hospital that she would have her surgery. The surgeon is now in San Francisco and due to her complexity it would benefit her to have her original surgeon perform her third surgery as he is ranked one of the best pediactric heart surgeon in the nation on US News top doctors. The surgeon at the hospital in our state is not sure that he can perform the surgery due to her complexity. We did not know that her original surgeon had moved to a different state; we found out by doing our own research. Feeling very scared that her surgeon would not be performing her third surgery; we contacted him via email only after sharing our concern with friends and family. We sent him an email and with in 45 minutes he had responded to us stating that many of his former patient's have contacted him and have been going to him to perform their surgeries. He was very glad that we contacted him and would love to do her surgery and feels very confident that he can do the surgery on Baby Rosa. He has stated he would love to finish his work on Rosa. We are struggling to find a way to pay for her surgery since the surgeon is out of state. Since we are 12 hours away from San Francisco we would also need to be financially prepared to be able to stay with her there. We are asking for any generosity and prayers anyone might be able to help with which will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
