Ch 1's Carnival costs

Following a public appeal for support, gaining over 8500 signatures and an open hearing with legal representation.  Channel One Sound System have been awarded a permanent license to appear at Notting Hill Carnival.  This will be their 32nd consecutive year.

There have been some new restrictions placed on their license, as requested by local residents, resulting in additional costs to be incurred by Channel One. Conditions include

4 x security guards x 2 days = £400
10 additional barriers = £100
high visibilty jackets and supplying of plastic rubbish bags = £26
contribution of £200 towards the cost of fencing around a local property = £200

TOTAL additional cost = £726 UPDATE THIS HAS BEEN MET

This cost is in addition to what we normally have to pay - cost of the hire of the van, cost of the license and the cost of insurance (around £700).

We would be very grateful if you could help us meet this cost.  £1426.
