Help Ashley get to California

Donation protected
Small town girl born and raised in the Berkshires with a burning passion for figure skating. First started figure skating at age 7 and instantly knew this was something I wanted to make part of my life forever. I parted from my family at age 17 to train full time as a competitive figure skater out in Boston, Massachusetts, while skipping a grade to earn my diploma through homeschooling. By competing all over, figure skating hasn't only become a hobby but my whole life as a full time career. At age 20, I find myself at a holt as many obstacles stand before me and a one-in-a-life time opportunity; to train in California under the most elite world coaches the United States has to provide to prepare for the 2018 Olympic Games. To be a figure skater in the new era of technology and expectations placed upon you, it's all in where you train and the resources you have available to optimize the best possible performance. With my eyes set clear on this goal, the time is finally appropriate to relocate from Boston, MA to Los Angeles, CA. Unfortunately the month of August has had much different plans for me than working smoothly towards my planned move for September 1st. Last Thursday, August 7th at 7pm my brother had been involved in a Motocross accident resulting in a posterior fracture of the tibia, lower fracture of the fibula, bimaalleolar fracture & anterior dislocation of the tibia as well as a distal fracture of the fibula all encompassed in his right leg. He also developed Compartment Syndrome needing immediate surgery in hopes to saving his leg from amputation. Being able to save the leg cosmetically there are still no guarantees of when or If he'll have full use and range of motion again. This unfortunate accident currently leaves me copilot-less driving across country. Thinking the road blocks stopped there, I recently face a costly $1,000 unexpected car expense to prepare my car to make the trip safely. Without any finical assistance from my parents to help manage the overload of expenses brought my way and my brother healthy enough to help my travels, my dream seems uncontrollably out of my hands. Determined to not let all these variables affect my fate in the next chapter of my figure skating career to achieve my Olympic aspirations of becoming a gold medalist.
