The We Care Hospice Foundation is a non-profit 501c(3) organization registered with the State of Mississippi; working to enhance the quality of life for those with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. Although most of the costs of patient services are covered by insurance, there are some people who fall through the cracks. For these people, the We Care Hospice Foundation can step in with a helping hand so they don’t have to face the end-of-life with financial worries about health care. Our goal is to clear the path so those on their final journey through life can live the rest of their days with dignity, peace, comfort and love.
Won’t you help us help them? Donations are needed in order for us to continue with our goal. Last year alone the We Care Hospice Foundation paid over $100,000.00 for uncompensated services. Our coffers are now depleted and in need of replenishment.
In addition the We Care Hospice Foundation serves Jackson, George and Harrison Counties by funding educational programs. Alzheimer ’s disease is a favorite cause and the We Care Hospice Foundation began and has continued to host an annual Walk for the Cure since 2012 raising more than $6000.00. The We Care Hospice Foundation continues to host an educational/support group started in 2008 for those families touched by this disease.
Currently, the We Care Hospice Foundation has partnered with AARP and the Jackson County Triad to promote education for caregivers. This program called “Caregiving Connections Circle” is used to educate, inform and support those caring for anyone who is ill. This is the tool that the We Care Hospice Foundation uses to educate a broader group of caregivers not just for those caring for hospice patients.
We Care Hospice Foundation has launched our fundraising campaign with a goal of $250,000.00 in 180 days or 6 months. We chose 180 days because it is the life expectancy of a hospice patient. Please join us in using the next 180 days to make a difference in the lives of those who can’t wait for next year’s campaign. The indigent and dying need your support. “… I was sick and you looked after me” Matthew 25:35 has long been our motto, we ask that you join us in our mission to raise 250K in 180 days.
