Project Serve:A Call To Action
Donation protected
Project Serve is a mobile outreach initiative aimed to provide meals, support, everyday essentials, and resources to the homeless community of Philadelphia.
Project Serve began as a small service project as a way to give back to the community. After deeper thought and further research, this initiative evolved into a seasonal service program. Project Serve was desgined to help individuals who are displaced in the community. As a mobile outreach team we are dedicated to providing meals, support, everyday essentials, and resources to the homeless community of Philadelphia. Project Serve was founded by LaKeisha Rowe, Spelman Alumna Class of 2012, and current Clinical Case Manager providing Forensic Services at the Family Court of Philadelphia. LaKeisha has an extensive background in community services and mentoring the younger generation. LaKeisha was inspired by the civil rights pioneer, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, who called upon the community to spring in action in order to change the world through service. Project Serve, through action, is dedicated to preventing and eliminating homelessness in Philadelphia.
Join our campaign as we raise funds and collect items for our first triannual event on September 27, 2014. Project Serve volunteers will distribute 100 Brown Paper Bag Lunches and Vinyl Tote Bags containing toiletries, clothing items, and resource cards.
