Improve Education in Chester

The 3rd Annual Riverfront Gala benefitting the Chester Upland School of the Arts was a rousing success!  Beautiful weather, delicious food and drink, fabulous entertainment, and friendly competition were enjoyed by all.  The guests were delighted with performances by the award winning CUSA ballroom dancers as well as the music of Shawn Taylor and The Band with special appearance by John Streetz.  A photo booth, silent auction, dancing and a Kick for the Arts competition added to the evening’s festivities.  Marilynne “Mert” Hinkel and Vanessa Odom were the deserving recipients of the Markia Benson Inspirational Leadership Award.   Our heartfelt thanks to you our wonderful sponsors and supporters who helped us exceed our fundraising goal with donations totaling almost $32,000.  We look forward to seeing you on June 14, 2018 at the 4th Annual Riverfront Gala!

The SIG family, formally known as SIG Combibloc Inc, is partnered with the Chester Upland School of the Arts (CUSA), a public elementary school located in the under funded school district of Chester, PA. Our mission is to improve the community and prepare children for success as individuals and as active, responsible citizens through arts, dance, and education. We want to encourage an environment where students can dream big and develop their passions now as children and carry these with them into young adulthood and beyond!

CUSA is a success story with dedicated teachers that inspire their students. Due to extreme underfunding within the school district, students lack the necessary tools and proper equipment needed to enhance their learning environment.

With your help, the children of CUSA will be provided with the tools necessary to further engage in art programs and to follow and nurture their interests. All donations are greatly appreciated and every little bit counts.

To assist with fundraiding, we will be hosting our 3rd Annual Riverfront Gala on June 15, 2017 from 5-8 PM at 2501 Seaport Drive, Chester, Pa. The Gala is a very enganging, high energy event that you won't want to miss!

The ticket price is $20 in advance (GoFundMe donation) or $30 at the door. Ticket prices include hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer, live entertainment and more! Thank you very much for your support! Your generosity will help the children of today become the success stories of tomorrow.
