100 Years of Sign Language
Donation protected
Charles Thompson Memorial Hall is the Deaf club in St. Paul, Minnesota. The club is a historical landmark and will celebrate 100 years on November 5, 2016. The club house was funded for, designed, built, and operated by individuals of the Deaf community. It is now the year 2016, and times have changed. This historical landmark needs to be preserved and also renovated to allow for all users of sign language to have accommodations, for example: ramps, elevators, accessible bathrooms, and electric doors. Our goal is to raise funds to renovate while preserving the history of the building. The renovation will bring the club up to date and up to code. In result the accessible building can continue to build revenue and serve as a free admission clubhouse for all sign language users for many more generations to come.
