Crate for Care

Donation protected
Our campaign has been updated as of October 16, 2016.

With the Mosul offensive having now launched The 1st NAEF has expanded Crate for Care into a larger medical aid program titled "Project Bawash" (Kurdish for "The Hug").   Project Bawash is a medical relief supplies project directed towards aiding the Yezidi communities in Kurdistan.

Available supplies and equipment for this first shipment have expanded to include 1/2 Million Dollars worth of aid! And this is only the first of many shipments!!

Quick Facts.

In Iraq there are:

- 10 Million + in dire need of assistance.
- 3.5 Million Internally Displaced Persons already before the start of Mosul.
- Upto 1.5 will be created IDP's from Mosul operations.
- Medical facility shortages are critical.
- Medical equipment shortages are critical.
- Medications shortages are critical.
- Psychological treatment needs are paramount.
- There are only 60,000 beds available for those displaced presently, with 1/4 million in various stages of planning or construction.

- UN states - Worst case scenario, Mosul operations will result in humanitarian impacts that are the"single largest and most complex in 2016"
- A July 2016 UN appeal for funding to support Mosul humanitarian operations has received less than 50% to date.
- Overall UN plan for Iraq Humanitarian aid is only 57% funded to date while needs expand.

Help us reduce some of these shortfalls by donating to Crate for Care today!

Your donation will help us ship and deliver $500,000 USD worth of medical aid and equipment to those most in need.

What we need for our Crate for Care Project?

*Fundraising will continue until our goal is achieved.

Where will these supplies go and how will they be used?

These supplies will be shipped from their current location in Idaho to Kurdistan (Northern Iraq) and will be used for two purposes.

1) A small portion of the supplies is marked for delivery to Hanin Salo's refugee camp medical station located in the Dohuk Province of Iraqi Kurdistan.

2) The larger portion will be used to fill the gaps identified for critical medical aid  within Iraq.

You can help deliver critical medical aid to those in most desperate need of assistance.

This program and concept were founded on the idea that we can all make a difference on the ground in Kurdistan, and if not in a specific skillset, through other means or practices such as donations.  While it is not everyone’s dream to pack a small bag, enter a war zone, and work at conducting needs assessments and focused development and aid programs, it is ours.  We realize our capabilities and know when we need help to support our operations and this is one of those times, we need your donations to deliver these lifesaving supplies to those in the most desperate need.

The 1st NAEF has created a respected network of professionals and partners to deliver the necessary programming for the region.  Programs are delivered under the same (if not better) set of protocols used by large humanitarian or contracting organizations but with a few differences.

- One, the majority of the money goes directly to those in need through projects and programs.

- Two, our services are created with those on the ground so they are also supported and integrated for a higher level of standards and measurement.  We believe if you are kind enough to make a donation, we should use those resources correctly to make the most effective impact.
