My name is Erris Hussain and I’m raising money to complete my undergraduate at Illinois Institute of Technology. I’m an international student in USA, pursuing Mechanical Engineering as my major.
When I came to United States in Spring 2013, my father had the resources to support my education, but unfortunately in the last one and a half year, due to political instability and deteriorating law and order situation in my country Pakistan, my father lost a significant amount of his investment in stocks, and is no longer able to pay for my tuition and due to visa restrictions I cannot take a student loan.
I come from a lower middle class family in Pakistan. It was my parents’ dream that I attend college in United States and pursue a great career. They have worked very hard to ensure I receive the best education available so that I may become financially stable and support myself and my siblings, who suffer from Nyctalopia. I on my part have made my full efforts to be a top achiever. For all the efforts my parents and I made, I got accepted at IIT, a very prestigious tech college in USA.
I believe I have a wonderful opportunity studying at IIT and I will like to complete my degree here. I do not want to go back home with the thought that I lost a great opportunity just because I did not have the money to pay for it.
As a last ditch effort I am reaching out to my friends and family and good will people of the internet to help me graduate from IIT, by donating any amount you feel comfortable with. Any kind of help in this time of need will be appreciated.
