High price of having Cancer
It has been a long, tiring and expensive 19 months. It was 19 months ago that I found out that I had stage 3B Colorectal Cancer. (4 weeks after I got engaged, you can imagine that Lindsay was surprised. But she is still by my side helping me tackle this every day) In those 19 months I have had 8 surgeries, undergone chemotherapy twice, had radiation and been hospitalized for more than 90 days. Then the kicker came, thanks to my surgeries we can no longer have children the old fashion way. We are instead going to have to do IVF, which of course means more hospitals, more visits, and more money.
But it was all an means to an end, a continued life with the lady that I love.
We had to delay our wedding, we had planned on getting married last October, but I was in the hospital. We are now shooting for this coming October. It will all depend on finances.
I want to be able to give Lindsay the wedding she deserves. I want to be able to treat her like the princess and hero that she is to me. I would not have made it this far with out her. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am hoping that with your help we might raise the money that I can pay off some doctors and give her that epic day. She deserves so much more but this at least is something that I NEED to do for her.
This fundraiser was started by my friends who want to see me move forward, they want to be there when the wedding happens and they want to help. I can't thank them enough for doing this.
Love you all for just coming here, being there, and sharing.
