Asia's Angels Back 2 School Supply Drive

Hello Everyone,
My name is Aziz Williams, I'am a 24 year old young man from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
As of lately there has been a terrible epidemic of homicides that has been occurring in the urban areas of Philadelphia. Unfortunately this isn't the first time Philadelphia has experienced this terrible misfortune. For the past several years Philadelphia has ranked as one of the most violent cities in the Country as well as being amongst the cities with some of the highest homicide rates.
There has been many tragic situations in which families are left grieving, role models are absent, children are without parents, and most importantly there are unsafe communities for our young children. It is very important that we take back our communities and motivate our young children as well as emphasize the importance of staying on the right path and always strive to further their education.
Something has to be done immediately to save our children and prevent them from reliving a vicious cycle. Which is why myself along with some of my close friends and family plan to take charge by starting an organization called "Asia's Angels" in memory of my Mother who passed away several years ago due to gun violence. I'am very enthused and have hopes of using not only my life experiences but our experiences as a whole help young children and make a powerful impact and influence within our community.
With that being said, the school year is quickly approaching us, and their are many children who will not be fortunate enough to have all of the supplies they may need to ensure a successful school year. Which is why we plan to have a FREE BACK 2 SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE as our first event. At this event we will giveaway backpacks filled with school supplies to all of the young children/parents who will be in attendance in efforts to support our event.
The start up cost and expenses that will be required to have a successful event for our youth is very high. However we're certain, with the proper funding we will be able to accomplish our goal and have an event that the youth as well as our community will truly appreciate.
