The Clockhouse Chideock relief fund
Donation protected
The Clockhouse Inn is a 16th Century thatched free house in the attractive village of Chideock, West Dorset.
On 6th April 2015, a fire broke out that has virtually destroyed the ancient building, and in the process turned upside-down the lives of the owners, Michael & Helen Long and Eric & Barbara Arnold.
Luckily no-one was harmed, but it has destroyed the ancient building and within just a few hours a family with young children had lost their home, their posessions and their business.
Although it is hoped that in the long term insurance will cover the rebuild of "The Clock", in the meantime the families are left with no posessions and relying on local offers of support for places to stay, clothing and toys for the children, etc.
The family were based in and around Harlow, Essex for a long time, and despite relocating to Dorset they still have connections to the area and the community. Their friends have been left reeling by the bad news, and unable to help out with the local effort of the Chideock community, we would like to help by raising some money that will be able to support them at this difficult time.
We would like to raise some funds to help them in the short term, whether it's for clothing, accommodation or any other need they might have.
Please donate if you can. Anything, no matter how much, will be appreciated.
