Chromebooks for Our Classroom

My name is Dan Broersma.  I am a junior high teacher at a small school in DeMotte, IN.  I am looking for help funding a project of mine that I believe will help the students at our school learn more about science, as well as the world around them.  

I have set a goal of $8,000 so I can purchase 30 Chromebooks along with the management console for each one of them.  Through using them at my school in my science classroom, I will be able to help upwards of 100 students a day do more of the following things.

Things I would be able to do more of:
1. Virtual Field Trips
2. Less paper use in the classroom - We are just starting to use Google Apps for Education in our classroom.
3. Teach young people better ways to use the Internet
4. Virtual Labs (This would be especially nice given the cost of lab equipment)
5. Virtual Dissections

On top of using the Chromebooks for these sorts of activites, I will also be able to use many of the free educational apps available to me on the Google Play Store.  These will be a very beneficial to the students in areas of science, as well as other areas of there schooling.
