Bovingdon Village Christmas Lights - help us light up the High Street!
We're fundraising to bring Christmas lights to Bovingdon Village Centre. The mistletoe star light display at the Memorial Hall last year received such positive feedback that the Parish Council is now looking for support to provide a Christmas light display along the whole of the High Street.
Our target is to fund a Christmas light on all 16-lamp posts from the top of the High Street down to the Ryder Memorial.
Lighting up the High Street will cost £18,000 for 3 years, so as well as asking local businesses to “Sponsor a Street Light” we are asking the whole community to be involved and the Parish Council is committed to match funding the amount raised up to £5,000.
Any donation will be gratefully received – every penny counts!
We want to build on the success of the Christmas Street Fayre and bring a real sense of community and Christmas spirit to our village. Help us make Bovingdon sparkle this year and in years to come!
