I'm turning 11 on the 11th and what better time is there than 11:11 to make a wish? Since I don't need any presents and have a loving home already, I'm asking you to donate money to help two senior dogs who could use a helping hand. Lets make my 11th on the 11th lucky for them too! Your donations will be helping the following senior pups:
Mabel, who is about 12 years old and she is blind. She is also diabetic so she needs some extra special care and patience. As we know, special needs come with special costs. And we want to help propel Mable into her forever home faster by helping cover the cost of her medical care. Mabel's routine includes eyedrops througout the day and an insulin shot after breakfast. Mabel is a superstar and doesn't mind her insulin shot one bit! Mable is very friendly with humans and other dogs and hopes to find her forever home soon. Benji, a 7 year old Chinese Sharpei mix, is residing at the Miami Dade Animal Shelter in Miami, FL. MDAS is one of the highest intake shelters in the country where as many as 100 dogs can stream through their doors on any given day. On top of the 500+ dogs and cats looking for their home at the shelter on a regular basis. And all too many never do. Older dogs, like Benji, have a particularly hard time getting out of the shelter due to the overwhelming need and age doesn't make things any easier. Benji is heartworm negative and an overall healthy older guy. We plan to use Benji's donation money for his transport and future heartworm prevention treatment. MDAS relies heavily on out-of-state adopters to save their dogs. By providing Benji a free ride out of the shelter, we hope to scoot him off to forever happiness ASAP!
