A taste of Positive music
Hi, My name is OneTwenty but I go by Michael Herrington. I am a Veteran of the Marine Corps as well as a college sophmore and Aspiring musician. I started out playing piano at a young age and later picked up drums in the church. At the age of 12 I became interested in hip-hop music. So I began to write my own and soon had a makeshift studio built in my grandmother's home in Brunswick, Ga. I later began to pick up singing at the age of 17 and continued improving at this until the present day. I've done countless shows from Japan to California and one thing has always bothered me...why must so much negativity be associated with today's music particularly Hip-Hop and R&B? I've always stood by the moral code that If I couldnt make music without the use of profanity, voilence, and the degredation of music, then I must not be a very good artist to begin with. Thus for the entireity of my music career I have produced positive music, still relevant to the sounds of the time, yet appropriate for children to emulate. It's important that we take consideration of the little ears around us when playing the music we enjoy. Even though I do understand the need of people from certain walks of life to tell the world about their lifestyle, I also believe that a change of pace is neccessary in today's music industry. I currently reside in Tokyo Japan and would like to follow in the footsteps of famed singer Chris Hart. He's an African American man who learned Japanese and now brings a new voice to the Japanese Media market. I would like to do the same and eventually expand throughout the world with my unique sound. However I need your help to do it! Any donation would be appreciated, I started this fundraiser as something fun to do but most people have no idea the amount of work that goes into producing quality music then generating the income to expand through that music. It doesn't take a million dollars but I don't believe in limiting my dreams for the sake of practicality.Help me take over the media in Japan and bring positive music to a new place! All donations will go towards pressing albums, photoshoots, videos, and all things associated with bringing a successful music career to fruition. A large percentage of the proceeds will also go to my current employer, Jolie Arts English School for Kids as I've had a wonderful experience teaching these children how to speak beautiful english!
