Funeral Assistance for CDH Babies

Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) strikes 1600 babies every year in the United States.   CDH occurs when a baby's diaphragm fails to fully form, allowing abdominal organs to enter the chest cavity and preventing lung growh.  50% of these babies do not survive.  The cause is unknown.

CHERUBS has been helping families affected by CDH for almost 20 years but because our charity operates on a shoe-strung budget to help over 5000 families, we do not have a fund set up to help families who cannot afford funeral bills for their children.

It is our goal to set up a fund to help these families to bury their children and to say good-bye to the with the love and respect that they deserve, without adding additional pressure to already financially strained parents.
