CHURCH BELLS of Castropignano, Italy - If you have roots in this small town in Molise, Italy please help the people (our ancestors) bring back the Ringing of the Church Bells to Castropignano!
History: The Church Bells of Castropignano is a beautiful custom that has been used by its townspeople for hundreds of years. For one, they were very important when clocks were unavailable. Their call to prayer and worship would also help mark out the time of day for the villagers. The Church Bells ability to carry information across large distances was viewed as an excellent tool of communication, especially during War or of times of danger. Today the Church Bells are still an important part of the towns ordinary daily events, and its religion/religious ceremonies. The Bells are used joyfully on wedding days, as if to wish happiness and prosperity to the couple who are beginning their lifelong union. They toll mournfully as the corpse is borne to receive the Church's last blessing, to remind them of the duty of praying for the departed soul.

PERCHE’ LE CAMPANE: da qualche parte bisogna cominciare e le campane danno l’idea del risveglio, di nuova vitalità per un paese che sta morendo: ci si augura che questo rinascimento riesca a migliorare i rapporti tra paesani, evitando rassegnazione e attivando lo spirito sannita.
Le campane hanno segnato la vita dei nostri antenati da sempre, notizie belle e brutte. Si aspettava la festa, la domenica e le campane suonavano a distesa, come hanno suonato a distesa la fine della guerra, i temporali minacciosi con nuvoloni neri per spaccare le nuvole, il dì di festa dei matrimoni, e hanno accompagnato tutti all’ultimo viaggio. Lo scopo è di far sentire ancora il suono meraviglioso delle campane con l’augurio che i paesani vivano meglio il paese e torni anche un po’ di serenità ed allegria.
ATTIVITA’: il comune ha fatto redigere un progetto e relativo computo metrico estimativo di circa € 100.000 comprensivo di tutte le spese: il comune, come tutti i comuni d’Italia, non ha soldi per le spese straordinarie; si potrebbe verificare il preventivo con l’attuale progettista, per cui, oppure Gxxx suggerisce di far venire un ingegnere da fuori per vedere se possibile come ridurre i costi con risultati analoghi, valutando anche tempistica e pagamenti: i contratti li potrei preparare io, chiamando almeno tre ditte del posto che diano garanzie come serietà e solidità, previsto anche dal codice degli appalti, tipo quello che si andrà a proporre. Eventualmente in questo posso farmi assistere anche da un amico legale, gratuitamente, sempre per contenere i costi.
Appena raccoglieremo una cifra attorno alla cifra preventivata, andremo in comune a presentare un progetto Financing per avere le autorizzazioni a procedere.
