Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide a stimulating and rewarding social experience by promoting responsibility and self-discipline, through music education, competitive performance and community engagement. Carolina Gold currently is responsible for the operation for the Legacy Independent Winter Guard as well as the Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps, a DCA World Champion Drum Corps.
Purpose
In preparation for the 2015 season Carolina Gold is launching it’s first capital campaign to purchase (2) equipment trailers to serve multiple purposes from equipment transportation, storage and food service. As Carolina Gold moves towards being a corps that rotates rehearsal facilities it needs to be able to do all of these things as economically as possible and renting equipment is no longer a financially viable solution to the organization.
Plan
It is with these goals in mind Carolina Gold is launching its 2015 capital campaign in order to purchase two equipment trailers for the future sustainability of the organization so that is continue to provide amazing experiences to its members.
Update to Plan
We purchased Trailer #1 using corps funds earlier in the year so that we could begin hauling our percussion equipment and so we are updating the fundraising goals based on the need of the second trailer and some of the costs to begin upfitting it to a servicable kitchen trailer.
Equipment Trailer 2
8.5’ x 28’ - Black
Serves as primary food service trailer as well as providing additional equipment storage
Upgrade in Service
Previously food had to be transported on buses/trucks and all food service equipment had to be set-up/taken down on-site
Will allow for drastically easier serving of food to the 100+ members/staff and reduced food costs for the organization.
Added features
- (2) Concession windows
- 100 amp electrical package
- Air Conditioning and portable generator
