Caring for Cam

Hi! My name is Cam. I'm a sweet, silly 3 year old who was diagnosed about a month ago wih epilepsy.  It has been scary for me and my mommy & daddy, but we are all learning a lot about my diagnosis and trying to be brave. My EEGs show that I am having complex partial seizures... sometimes as often as 20 times a day! I have had to be in the hospital 3 times in the past month due to my seizures being uncontolled and having reactions to all the anti-seizure medications they have tried so far. It's been a really tough 4 weeks for both me and my parents. I'm currently out of the hospital, though and have started a new medication. All of my friends and family are praying feverishly that this one will work for me and that I will be able to tolerate it! However, through all of this my mommy and daddy have missed a lot of work in order to stay by my side day and night. They love me SO much and want the best for me.  :)

And as we know- all of you wish the best for Cam, too and have asked about ways you can help. Everyone has been so generous with all the support, love, kind words of encouragement, and prayers provided to Cam and his parents. Tarah and Scott (Cam's parents) have not asked for much more than that, but we know a way that you truly can help them! They would never ask of this from anyone or even expect it, so as their loving, supportive family we are asking all of you to consider helping them financially through this difficult and stressful time.  Any amount will help...  whether it's $1, $10, or $100-- anything you are able to contribute will be received with gratitude. Cam's current medication is not fully covered by insurance and since it is a newer medication, it is very expensive. Also, due to Cam's multiple hospitalizations, Tarah has not been able to work and watch her kids daily for the past month, which she solely relies on for her source of income.  Tarah and Scott are very dedicated to Cam and are doing everything possible to be there for him. Thank you for also being there for them!
