Send Me To Graduate School

My name is Caprice Oliver and education has always been my first love. My mother instilled in me at a very young age that coming from a low economic class as an African American woman that I would have to work twice as hard to beat the odds and stereotypes. I come from a community where it is expected for me to fail. I can count on one hand the peers that I grew up with that were able to continue their higher education, the rest are dead or in jail. I recently graduated with my Bachelors in Communication, but for me it was just a step leading up the stairwell to my success. I want to become a successful Public Relations Agent eventually opening up my own firm. As I was approaching graduation I started realizing that all the programs that would benefit me the most are in the East Coast. I have 7 schools that I want to apply to leaving my options open, I currently have a GPA of 3.70 so my grades are not the issue. Tuition for one year full time being an out of state student is around $27,000. I am hoping to raise 30K to pay for tuition and moving fees, I do realize I will still need loans. My education is everything for me and I will receive my doctorates in the end of my college career. I would really appreciate the help from people who support education. I really fought myself with deciding to create this fundraiser; but when I started questioning whether I should even go I knew I had to do this. We all need a little help and now I’m not ashamed to ask. I am such a humbled person and I know that with your help I can fulfill my dreams!
