Calum Titmus - #TEAMSOGB

Tax deductible
Calum has been part of Special Olympics Peterborough for over four years, and was the first Special Olympics Figure Skater to represent Great Britain on the international stage winning gold at the World Winter Games in 2012.

Calum was a founder member of the Inclusive Skating group at Peterborough, an associate of Special Olympics GB, which attracted over 430 members in just nine months.

Special Olympics GB has helped Calum make new friends and has improved his social interaction.  It improved his health, keeping him fit.

Calum has been selected to represent Great Britain in the Figure Skating competition at the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria in 2017, one of the biggest events in the Special Olympic global calendar which will attract over 3,000 athletes with intellectual.

Attending the World Winter Games means that Calum will be with his Special Olympics GB Team friends, and be reunited with his Special Olympics friends from Iceland, Germany, Finland, Russia and Austria.

Calum is looking forward to the fireworks, and having fun.  He hopes that competing at an international level will improve his skating so that he can go up to Level 4 and perform a loop jump.

For the athletes, going to the Games is not only about participating in their chosen sport: it’s about meeting athletes from around the world, making new friends, having fun, daring, improving their health and challenging preconceptions about people who have an intellectual disability.

Please give what you can to help Calum on his way to Austria as he is working hard in order to be the best he can in 2017 and to do his country proud.
