Callum Mills - #TEAMSOGB

Tax deductible
Callum has been with Special Olympics Nottinghamshire for just over one year and has already made a big impact, winning two gold and one bronze medals at three national competitions.

It has given me the opportunity to represent Special Olympics GB in events.  Something I could not have done without Special Olympics.  I feel proud to be a part of Special Olympics.

Calum has been selected to represent Great Britain in the Figure Skating competition at the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria in 2017, one of the biggest events in the Special Olympic global calendar which will attract over 3,000 athletes with intellectual.

What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?

I feel it would be a fantastic opportunity to attend the event and would be very rewarding and help with character building and further my independence.

I want to do my very best at the event.  I want to train hard up to the event and along with the rest of the GB Team hopefully do our best to enjoy the experience.

After the event I want to continue to train hard in the hope that I could represent Special Olympics GB at future events.

Other interests or hobbies:

Music, YouTube, Movies, volunteering at the local youth club

My dream has come true by being selected.

For the athletes, going to the Games is not only about participating in their chosen sport: it’s about meeting athletes from around the world, making new friends, having fun, daring, improving their health and challenging preconceptions about people who have an intellectual disability.

Please give what you can to help Calum on his way to Austria as he is working hard in order to be the best he can in 2017 and to do his country proud.
