Post-Cancer & College Fund

Now that I'm in remission from a year of chemotherapy, I am shooting to raise at least $2000 to help me get back on firm ground.

I recently left the reservation - my home - for Flagstaff so that I could get some mobility back. This is a baby-step towards working and saving up $16K to get back to Stanford.

Here's a breakdown:
$500 for 1 month rent
$500 for getting my vehicle back up and running
$1000 for tuition at community college

Any support beyond the goal will go directly towards getting back to Stanford sooner. I hope you can help! Ahéhee'! (Thank you!)

Byron was raised on the Navajo Nation. His maternal clan is Tódích'íi'nii (Bitterwater) born for Hashk'aan hadzóhí (Yucca-fruit-strung-out-on-a-line). He attended Stanford starting in 2010, then began a leave of absence. Since then, he started the Navajo Word of the Day project, as well as volunteered in various community planning events, and more recently, underwent chemotherapy for Stage 4 cancer. Now in remission, he hopes to finish his degree in Engineering and to return to his home to help build a strong Navajo community.
