Olympic Games Maker expenses fund

My name is Gregory Mathews, I am married to Tracey and have three sons aged between 11 and 16. I have Cerebral Palsy and I am proud to have been selected as a Games Maker for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.

A Games Maker is a volunteer, helping to ensure the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games are a great success. As a Games Maker, we don't get paid for our time, nor do we expect to as it is a privilege to be selected to take part, we will be given travel passes to travel around London, ie to and from our venue, we will also receive meal vouchers for the days we volunteer.

We do not however get any help with accommodation which considering the number of Games Makers is no surprise as the cost to the Organisers would be enormous. As a Games Maker I am working 16 shifts for the Olympics and 9 shifts for the Paralympic games and I start in early July. 

I am pleased to have managed to stay in London for free during the Olympic games and hope to do the same during the Parlympics my aim is to just raise money to help cover the fuel costs.
