Help Save Junior!

Junior Jumping Jellybeans is sick and needs your help in raising money to help to help pay off pet medical bills! Please show your support!

Probably the tiniest dog you'll ever meet, Junior Jumping Jelly Beans is a sweet little 8 month old chihuahua mixed puppy. Just recently, his bladder was suddenly obstructed and he couldn't urinate correctly. As I got him checked up at the vet's office, this situation quickly turned into a medical emergency for Junior; his kidney levels and electrolytes went haywired and the vet had to catheterize him in order to flush out his urine. We had to transfer Junior over to 2 different hospitals to get him stablized. If I waited any longer to treat him, his kidneys could have failed on his and he could have died. It turns out that Junior had a stone blocking his urethra making him unable to go potty.

The vet says this quite rare at his age and he may have a liver disfunction. In addition, his body is also unable to process protein properly (I believe this ties into why he's so tiny at 8 months weighing at 3lbs only)!

Over all, when Junior was released to me, he looked very tired, sad and even scrawnier that before. And to top it off the bill racked up to over $3000 within the 3 stressful days of bringing him around town.

The Veterinary Department at the U of M would like to do more researching on why his body is creating stones at this age. He's in a predisposition to form stones again. A CT exam and perhaps a biopsy procedure of his liver is to be followed up in a few weeks. This may result in me having to fork over $3000 more. 

Some people may think that spending thousands of dollars on pet bills may be unreasonable --that they're just pets. I was once one of those people who had that mindset. However, I believe everything happens for a reason and through hard times, comes opportunities. So many people spend thousands of dollars on useless things everyday. What I need to do here is save a life.
