Mother Died Tonight; Must Fly "Home"

Donation protected

This is mom, long before I knew her.
She was born May 8, 1921, and died, today, but she did a lot in between.
She was engaged to a handsome young man until she met a witty and I think more handsome younger man, who promptly stole her away, and they married on 3rd of July, 1942.  Soon after this, he went off to Germany.  Thankfully, that war didn't last long, and they were reunited.
Beginning on Mom's birthday, 1944, they began welcoming babies into the world; twins on her 23rd birtday.  The first-born died, but the other is alive and kicking (too much so.)  In subsequent years, Mom;  all four-feet, eleven inches of her, had a total of seventeen children, and with Dad, they raised fifteen of us into adulthood.
Most of the family stayed in CT or in New England.  I didn't.  I moved to Texas, where I am (stuck) today.  As much as I would have liked to see Mom, before she died, it has not been financially possible, for me.  So, this brings me here, now.  My son said I had to do this, because I do have to get to CT for the funeral, and last-minute tickets aren't cheap. Being away from "work" for up to a week also does not keep the lights on.  I will also need to rent a car, while up there, and the $900, less GFM fees, should cover it all.
And, I am asking if anyone can help, to do so.
I don't want anyone to give what they cannot or what would be a hardship for them.  A few dollars, here and there, can add up.
Simply put, I need to see my dad, who's 92 years-old, and has just lost his wife, my Mom.

Thanks for taking the time to read...
