Malayaka House, Volunteer Trip

Donation protected
Family and Friends,

I'm doing a final push to raise money for a cause I care about, and I need your help to reach my goal!

As many of you already know, I will be celebrating my birthday (and quarter of a century on earth) by embarking on a trip to Entebbe, Uganda to visit the Malayaka House. The Malayaka House is home to 36 children, ranging in age from infant to 19 years.

Mission Statement: To provide the most vulnerable orphaned and abandoned Ugandan children with a safe and loving home, education, and vocational training so they may grow into self-reliant citizens whose lives are full of opportunity and promise.

The Malayaka House has developed a network of businesses, all located within their compound, to provide the older children with vocational training. They started a craft shop which focuses on sewing and jewelry making. They produce handbags, aprons, wallets, curtains, and bed covers. Naiga, one of the older girls is an artist.  She spends her days rolling recycled paper into delicate beads, which she then uses to design necklaces, ear rings,  purses, and more.

Please become a supporter to follow my progress and share with your friends.

Malayaka House is a registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization.
