Please Help Me Stay at Howard University

My name is Erika, I am twenty years old and the odds have always been against me but I’m known for beating the odds. I was born three months premature, and weighed one pound and three ounces and the size of an eleven sized shoe. As a student with hearing loss in my right ear, I refuse to let my disability define and enable me to become anything less than the best possible version of myself. I am a fighter. In May of 2013 I received my acceptance letter to Howard University its was not only a dream come true but it was the start of rest of my life. I transferred to Howard University in the Fall of 2013. I was humbled and thrilled to be accepted.
I do not have a scholarship so I'm forced to pay the remaining balance my self. Financially I can't afford the outstanding balance of $5,000 this semester. I've been struggling quite a while and I humbly ask for your help so that I remain in school. If I'm able to go back this next semester I promise to strive for a 4.0 GPA so that I can earn a scholarship, so that my mother and family doesn't have to worry about it. I promise to stay committed and keep everyone who supports me posted with my academic progress.I am still short $5,000 for this year’s tuition.
It's incredibly hard for me to write this, and to have reached the point where I am reaching out for any support I can get, but I am so grateful for all of the SUPPORT I have recieved in getting to where I am now, and am stretching out my hand in need of help to get past this incredibly difficult situation. With this said, I am humbly asking for any support that can be given, whether it be financial or just by sharing this page with any friends or family. My educational aspirations consist of acquiring a bachelor’s degree in any biological or health science that would assist me in pursuing a medical career as a doctor. My passion has always been assisting others and trying to improve their quality of life. My goal isn’t to change the world I live in but to improve the health for those who live in this world one patient at a time. I will be immensely grateful if your contributions allow me to stay at Howard University. I'm praying every everyday for a miracle to help me make this possible.
I love attending Howard University, I have made amazing connections, met some amazing people, and have joined clubs that have not only helped me get through my sophmore year, but will help me throughout my entire life. I would love to continue my education at my Howard University, but I need some help. If you could please help. Every dollar goes a long way. So if you could find it in your heart to help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
