Tanzania Internship & Missions Trip

I am journeying to Tanzania, Africa from June 10- July 22, 2016 with a group of my colleagues on an internship to teach English (TESOL), present the Gospel, and work with various missionaries and ministries.
For the first few weeks in Tanzania, we will be working with Lake Tanganyika Christian College in Kigoma, Tanzania. We will be teaching and tutoring diploma students in English, preparing them to enter a degree program, which is held entirely in English.
We will also be teaching open-door English classes to children and families of the community in order to give them the English language proficiency required for better jobs and salaries.
Additionally, there will also be opportunities to partner with local churches and missionaries in Kigoma doing street outreaches, orphanage work, and teaching in churches on Sundays.
The final portion of the trip will be spent in the city of Tanga where we will be working with a missionary. We will be teaching literacy to beginners and English as a foreign language (EFL). Tanga is an impoverished rural community with very little educational opportunities.
The people of Tanga and the surrounding areas have had very little exposure to the Gospel. They are considered one of the least reached people groups. We will have many opportunities to minister on the streets and within our classrooms.
For the trip, I have two primary needs. First, please pray for me and my colleagues. Pray for our safety when travelling throughout Tanzania and when eating the food—pray against sickness. Also, pray for travelling mercies, and our effectiveness to teach English and share the Gospel with our students and the community.
The second area is financial. Many of my expenses in the country are provided for, however, the plane tickets, volunteer visa, required shots/medication (yellow fever shot and malaria tablets), insurance, necessary curricula, and any of the supplies I have to bring from the U.S.
combined will cost approximately $2,450. Thank you for all your prayers and support! This is now my final $750.
