Brian Skol and Laura Daluga experienced a terrible electical fire in their apartment that almost claimed their lives. They lost all their belongings, their two beloved cats, and are now without a place to live, and facing medical bills as well as other costs for rebuilding their lives. Both of them are just starting in their careers in the arts and creative fields, and were just starting to make it before the fire. Brian is a talented figurative painter who spent many years studying classical painting through the Ravenswood Atelier in Chicago. Laura is an accomplished floral designer who just saved up and earned her certification through the American Institute of Floral Designers.
Devoted to each other, they are thankful to be alive, but are now without any savings or a home, and also facing the loss of many of Brian's paintings in his home studio. They will need all the help we can give to restart their lives and continue with their professional and personal goals. Any help you can give would be much appreciated, and go toward everything from renting a new apartment, to buying clothes, food, medical insurance, paying off bills, buying art suppplies, and to helping them continue in the next chapter of their lives.
