Braden's Work in Hollywood!

Donation protected
My name is Braden Scheck and I was born and raised in Fort St. John, BC. I currently am completing my Bachelor of Fine Art's Degree in Film, Video + Integrated Media at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver, BC. For a project I worked on this past semester, I recreated Marilyn Monroe's iconic ivory dress from her film, The Seven Year Itch, completely out of 16mm developed filmstrips. It fits Marilyn Monroe's size and is fully wearable as it has a zipper and buckle installed in it. I have been given the amazing opportunity to have my artwork showcased in The Hollywood Museum in Los Angeles, California this summer where it will be displayed in their Marilyn Exhibit for over three months alongside real Marilyn Monroe costumes, wardrobe and collectables. I am unable to bring my film dress down to Los Angeles, myself and will be shipping it there but I hope to take a trip down at the end of the Marilyn Exhibit to pick up my work and meet the amazing people who have given me this opportunity. Please help support my dream to see my own work displayed in Hollywood and further my art career by making connections in person through this incredible opportunity! Thank you so much!
