Help Kassia get hearing aids

My name is Kassia and I have Lupus. On December 21st, 2012 I had a big attack on my nerves and I lost all the hearing in my left ear and a lot of the hearing in my right ear. After going through months of chemo and steadily getting better, I am finally feeling well enough to revisit the issue of my hearing.
I have a hard time hearing people who are even standing right in front of me. I'm sure my roommates go crazy with how loud I have to have the volume when I watch tv. I can barely hold conversations on the phone. And the funniest part is sometimes I hear the complete wrong thing.

The thing is, hearing aids would definitely help me out but our insurance doesn't cover them and they're... Expensive to say the least.

I thought I could try this and see how it goes.
